During my residency at Kaaysa in 2019 I produced an installation called “Corpo de terra” (“Body of soil”), where I utilized clay found in the nearby waterfall to produce an installation that was inspired in the roots and vines that we encountered daily in our way to this neighboring waterfall but also in arteries/veins which connects and connects the systems in our body.

The pieces were connected by junctions made of pressed clay and I asked each resident to produce a few of these knots/connections leaving their hand shape in it. Therefore, the installation was not only about nature and its networks but also the bonds we were making with each other at that time.
